Initially started as this. Sketched on paper and traced in Illustrator. Inspired from the works of Ed "Big Daddy" Roth, namely his famous Rat Fink.
Adjusted to a 2 color design and placed on some appropriate product mockups.

The design had some oddities as it was. The outside shoulder protruded too much, unequal arm length, and while unique, lacked character. A total redesign was in order.
Back to the drawing board, this design was now made with line art that was made into a vector shape and colored in Illustrator. The Mad Dog now had appropriate anatomy, more exaggerated characteristics, more of a hand-drawn look, and far more interest than the previous version of the design.
